About the Center

The Center for Romantic Science was established to promote knowledge of the second great Scientific Revolution, which has far-reaching implications for healthcare in particular.

The current dominant approach to health and illness is founded on the notion that the living organism can be reduced to a complex mechanical and chemical arrangement of inert elements. Materialistic science presumes that Life is secondary, an effect of dead matter.

Romantic Science challenges this presumption directly. Vital nature is not a by-product of inert nature, but rather stands as a realm on its own. Inert nature is part of living organisms, and while the laws of inertial science are valid when it comes to the purely physical and chemical (common matter), they are not applicable to living functions and living matter.
